Certification for Crane & Hoist Inspection  A new Safety Standard for the inspection of all cranes, hoists, trolleys and other lifting equipment has been created by the CSA. Inspections of such are required by law under the "Occupational Health and Safety Act". (OHSA) CSA Standard B-167-96 (Safety Standard and Inspection of Overhead Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Monorails, Hoists and Trolleys) has been revised and is mandated under the Mining Act. It is currently being reviewed by the Ministry of Labour for inclusion in the OHSA/Industrial Act. Pro-Crane was proud to be selected as a member of the Standards Committee, and our staff is capable of answering any questions relating to the standard. Our Certified Inspection program provides inspections performed by Qualified Crane Inspectors as per the CSA Standard and the OHSA Section 55 of the Industrial Act.
